Mark Van Ee is an Emmy Award–winning Producer with over 15 years of experience in film, VFX, and animation. A graduate with honors from The Art Institute of Vancouver’s Digital Film and Video program, he began his career in Vancouver’s film industry before moving into VFX production. At studios including Method, ILM, MPC, and Prime Focus, he contributed to more than 10 feature films, among them Transformers, Sin City, The Expendables, Cloud Atlas, and Pacific Rim.
His passion for animation led him to Bardel Entertainment, where he spent five years overseeing production on Rick and Morty. During his tenure, the series earned two Primetime Emmy Awards.
In 2020, Mark relocated to Montreal, continuing to produce until the birth of his first child. When the industry faced a downturn, he seized the moment to pursue his long-time dream: developing original animated content and exploring voice acting.
Today, he focuses on producing his animated series AstroNots while lending his voice to commercials, animation, and video games.
